Welcome to AwesomeDude

AwesomeDude.com is a literary website featuring Stories by, for, and/or about LGBT People of All Ages. We were formed on April 3, 2004 and are a completely independent, free site providing the best in gay fiction by some of the best authors on the web.

The AwesomeDude Community Forums (where you are now) were set up in July of 2004 for the purpose of providing a place where readers and writers could meet and where the AwesomeDude Authors could get feedback from readers.

Since then, it has grown to be a meeting place for people interested in not only well-written fiction but a sounding board on many of the aspects of community life. We invite you to explore the various forums that make up the AD Forums and see for yourself.

You don’t need to be a member to read the posts, but if you want to post your own comments –as opposed to just reading those of others - we invite you to join up. It’s free and pretty simple.  From December 2016 we're using a manual registration system, no puzzles and guessing about security questions. . Just email register@awesomedude.com and we’ll help you get set up with your Display Name and password..

While most folks are sincere in joining the AwesomeDude Community Forums, we do have rules of behavior when logged onto the forums which apply to all members whether they fall into the category of reader or writer. Failure to remain civil during discourse on the AD Forums can result in you being suspended from posting. Repeated offenses can result in your removal from membership. For authors –although it has rarely happened- their stories may be removed from the story site as well.

So what are the rules?

• Keep criticism of stories –whether at AwesomeDude.com or any site- helpful. If you like the story, tell the author so. If you don’t like something.. give a reason.
• The above applies to comments made by other Forum members as well. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.
• Keep in mind that our members –readers and authors- represent a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and remarks attacking anyone based on race, religion, ethnicity,political views or sexual orientation will not be tolerated.
• If the above rules are too much to remember just remember the most important one: The Golden Rule – Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available in our footer and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
