Rutabaga
Such a cute story. Cole does angst so well it's scary. But . . . "eyedness"? R [Yet everyone reading knows exactly what that word means.] Link to comment
colinian
Noun: eyedness The property of favoring one eye over the other (as in taking aim) (from WordWeb Pro online dictionaries) Colin Link to comment
Altimexis
I loved this story, but I wondered, do girls still wait for boys to ask them to a school dance? Perhaps it's different elsewhere, but I was under the impression that here in NYC, it goes both ways now. Link to comment
Cole Parker
Dammit! Is that really a word? I love to create my own words; there are several examples throughout my writing. I was sure I'd done it again with 'eyedness'. As pointed out, its meaning is obvious, something that's desirable when making up words. But Colin found it. Rats! C Link to comment
Rutabaga
It's all good, as long as your created words have enough wordness for readers to understand them. R Link to comment
Cole Parker
Oh, sure, that's about the number one rule. If they're just nonsense, what's the point? I try to create words that should have already been in the lexicon and have obvious content where they're used. C Link to comment
Camy
Ah, words. Gotta love 'em! I was thinking Parkerthon (noun) is a goody - as in reading a lot of Cole Parker stories in one go (been there, done it, big fun). Alas, according to our lord Google, it doesn't exist. However Parkerizing, which sadly doesn't mean 'turning your friends onto the fiction of Cole Parker.' does exist. Odd. And that's quite enough about Parker, except to say terrific story, and I read part 2. 😀 Link to comment
Cole Parker
I still think it was complete with Part 1. I will admit it was better adding Part 2. Thanks, everyone. C Link to comment
Gee Whillickers
Another fun Cole Parker story. Well done, and I'm glad there was a part 2. Thanks for writing it. Link to comment
