  4. Today, Tonight, and Tomorrow a poem/song by Codey Today, we'll walk hand in hand in the park, listening to laughing children while they play. We'll bask in the glow of our newly re-found love as you offer me a dandelion bouquet. Today, we'll laugh and forget about the past while we're playing in the warm summer rain. With hands on our hearts, we'll swear this time forever knowing neither can forget the previous pain. Tonight, in dim light, I'll watch you as you sleep, loving the sounds you make while breathing. Fighting back tears, for all those lost years, and trying to forget those things I've been grieving. Falling asleep, with my head on your chest, listening to the sound of your heart beating. Reliving memories, old and new, as I'm lying there with you, and hoping this time love won't be so fleeting. Tomorrow starts our new life as it starts a new day, and, together, our entwined hopes will be winging. Lets not dwell in the past, that's all dead and gone. Let's not fear what the future is bringing
  5. Rick is doing a great job on The Chronicles of Kadin. It and Jamie's Scrolls of Icaria, are turning me into a fantasy fan. Codey Also not an ostrich...I am the walrus

Awesome Gabe! wouldn't it be nice if we could just wish all the ish away? I guess we'll just have to keep working to make things better. Codey

  10. Suppose a perv ordered a card for his "son" and paid his money. Then parents around the world would be telling their kids that the shoud be talking to this "son" because he's been approved. And how will the parents know whether a kid is talking to a card holder or soomeone else? The parent would have to be monitoring the kid constantly to insure they only talked to card holders. If they have the time to do this then they have the time to monitor the kid without a card so why would they need one? Codey
  11. Let's see if I understand this correctly. Our parents or guardians enter a bunch of personal information in a big data base. They pay ten pounds a month for this. A bunch of strangers then use this personal info to protect us from another bunch of strangers who want to know what that personal info is. Have I got it? Sounds more to me like some adult scheme to make money by exploiting fear. Rather than verifying who the kids are, why not spend that money finding out who the pervs are and getting them offline? 12. Bravo! Gabe, I absolutely love this poem...it says it all about what to many of us do. The price we pay for our insecurities. Codey

  14. Marriage means nothing to Tim or I. Apparently it means nothing to the Straights, who are so against 'Gay Marriage', either tho as they've turned it into a turnstyle for new wives and husbands. We believe in commitment and the word marriage doesn't mean that. We prefer the term 'gay union'. I think if we dropped the demands to use the word marriage, we'd find it easier to gain number three on Graemes list. The other two we have through our own actions. Codey
  15. I try to avoid describing characters period. The only exception would be if there was something very unusual about them. In an upcoming chapter of Freefall, I describe a character as "blandly normal looking" and another as "a drop dead georgous hunk" and Let the reader decide what normal and hunk means. In the same chapter I do give height and weight for one character but only because his size is such that it needed description. I want my characters to all be the person next door, or everyman types and let my readers use their imaginations. Codey
  16. Are we allowed to laugh tho? Codey
  17. Thanks, Ben, for that totally unbiased and unsolicited review. Codey PS; the checks in the mail but I couldn't come up with the whole amount you wanted.

Camy hits another home run...errrr....Camy makes another touchdown...errr...Camy makes another basket....errr...what ever it is that those Brits do any way! Really another great poem! Codey
  19. OMG!!! Call the police! That dude has stolen Mick Jaggers lips! When doing poetry, Gregorian chants are what I listen to but with prose I make sure it's something I don't like. Otherwise I get lost in the music and forget to write. Codey
  20. This sample definetly caught my attention and the way it opened and then went into flashback worked well. I'd definetly want to read this story because the idea of two ppl looking that much alike, makes me want to see why. Very good start to a story. Codey
  21. one question...is bullpen an animal reference, a 'shooting the bull' reference or a baseball reference? lmao....I'm a lil dense Codey
  22. yea...sorry about that Camy. I've had something on my mind last night and today and it's kinda got my concentration off. natter is what I meant. Codey

I believe puncuation in poetry is exempt from rules. The poet is creating a world and he has the right to make the rules in his creation. Sometimes I use puncuation and sometimes not. Whatever seems right to the poet is what's right. Another good poem Camy! Codey
  24. A really great story and great story telling by Camy. I'm looking forward to more from him. Codey ps; wth is a napper?
