  1. Hi Nigel, I wasn't able to find a copy of the documentary but it can be found at some libraries, universities, etc. There was a post on David Icke's forum of all places that lists some sites where it can be viewed, I also happened to find a book with the same title on eBay. Apparently it followed the airing of the TV program. Good luck with your hunt, You might want to check eBay sometimes - most things end up there eventually. https://forum.davidicke.com/showthread.php?t=306357
  2. Google tells me that the book you refer to may be The Burning Mountain by Alfred Coppel. Does that sound familiar? The Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/The-Burning-Mountain-Novel-Invasion/dp/015114978X
  3. Bruin, I think perhaps the quote may reference a story I saw in the Daily Mail - it was from November of last year. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2826810/Dark-secret-doomed-youth-Warrior-poet-Wilfred-Owen-died-hero-trenches-startling-evidence-unearthed-WWI-scholar-tells-different-story.html

  7. The Rams didn't offer him a spot on the practice squad either. Time to check out the CFL?
  8. Outsports is reporting that the Rams cut him from the squad. He didn't make the 53 player roster. Sam can be picked up by any of the other teams in the league during the next 24 hours or he may play in the Rams practice squad. Such a shame - I think he deserves a place in pro football. http://www.outsports.com/2014/8/30/6086415/michael-sam-cut-by-st-louis-rams
  9. The local news is reporting that as of Thursday Danny has received over 30,000 cards and 3,000 packages from all over the world. The family has had to hire a U-haul truck to carry everything home. More cards and packages are expected today, Danny's birthday. ***Today at 100,000 cards and packages***

The 9th Circuit Court granted the Governor a temporary stay. "Butch" Otter is a great name - I might borrow it. Via Towleroad http://www.towleroad.com/2014/05/federal-appeals-court-grants-temporary-stay-of-idaho-ruling-striking-down-gay-marriag
  13. It's a shame for the Russian language - it has a "florid and flexible lexicon of profanity" Putin is known for swearing a blue streak when behind closed doors. http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/newsdesk/2014/05/vladimir-putins-four-dirty-words.html
  14. At the end of the film Auden said to Isherwood: "The only cause you care about is yourself...You've turned it into an art form, rather successfully as it happens." There was a documentary made about the second half of Isherwood's life - "Chris and Don: A Love Story." It's about his years in California with the artist Don Barchardy. Below is the film's trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hb5pFoAh-U
  15. BBC production of the story of Christopher Isherwood's years in the wide-open Berlin of the '30s. The film stars Doctor Who's Matt Smith and the lovely Douglas Booth as his German boyfiriend. Complete film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hjidIaTYiE
  16. An interesting story about this book at a VA high school via Towleroad: http://www.towleroad.com/2014/04/va-school-committee-votes-unanimously-to-keep-two-boys-kissing-on-shelves.html A parent complained about the book being on the shelves of the school library saying that "...she believed that the cover of the book condoned public displays of affection, which are against school policy…" Apparently no mention was made that the display of affection was between two boys. Other parent's objected to the use of "the F-word" again apparently not saying anything about the gay content. One teacher stated the obvious when she said: “If the focus of this book was on heterosexual teen relationships, it would not be the subject of a book challenge…" Of course it wouldn't The review committee voted unanimously to keep the book on library shelves however the decision may still be subject to appeal.

  19. http://www.nzonscreen.com/title/boy-2004 This film is 10 years old but I've only just seen it. It's about a gay deaf boy and the crime he witnesses and it's set in small town New Zealand. There's no dialogue as we're living in the deaf boy's world.
