  1. I loved the mother, and the boys - with respect to Ryder Tipton, can I join the queue after James.
  2. I also have read this elsewhere and look forward to reading it again, it is one on Nick's best in my opinion.
  3. Can't wait to see where this is going to go, may have to go out hunting for it elsewhere.
  4. Loved this, I did not see the end coming but when it came it was just so appropriate.
  5. I'm not surprised at all, anybody who has lived and worked in Sweden will know there is a big incentive to get somewhere that is (a) warm and (b) has some flat level space.
  6. An interpretation as to the meaning of the scriptures which I am sure is going to upset a lot of the Christian fundamentalist, though I doubt they will get round to reading it, which is a pity, they really need to. This is a great short story well told.
  7. I found this story delightful and interesting. I know Nigel has studied Ninjutsu and it shows here.
  8. I almost missed this and I am glad that I didn't, Nigel has managed to make a short story that carries a powerful message.
  9. This is an interesting tale in which Nigel returns to the theme of Magic. Not a particularly gay story but one well worth reading.
  10. The problem with a new author is that you never no where they are going to be taking you. With the established authors you have a feel for their writing and a sense where their stories are going, though they often give you a nasty shock and go somewhere completely different. This is the first story that Ryan has posted to AD and it is difficult to sense where the author is going with it. One thing though we can be sure of he is going somewhere and wherever it is the signs are it is going to be interesting. I look forward to seeing what is going to come next.
  11. No Gwilym, I got told off for mentioning the name at the start, had to edit my post, think everybody has been careful since then.
  12. I've now read three chapters of this and it just keeps getting better. Have not read much of Cole's work, reading this is telling me I should read more of them.
  13. Really enjoyed this story. It was well written, well put together and had a good feel to it.
  14. Cole, I think the question is more about whether his treatment by the authorities as an homosexual was such that his feelings to his country would be affected in a way that would make him more likely to defect. What is clear is that he that he had found a society in Denmark and Norway where he was not under the pressure of constant observation.
  15. Sorry Nick, have edited post to remove the spoiler.
  16. I wonder how many readers will realise the identity of the person being talked about in the meeting described here. There has been increasing speculation over his death, especially since it was shown that the inquest verdict of suicide was based on no sound facts but pure speculation. Maybe such a meeting did take place. This is an interesting speculation and well worth reading.
  17. Have finally caught up on the adventures of Taz and Kodak, was pointed to them by Nigel who told me to start at the beginning, which I did. This last part has been delightful to read and very interesting. I hope we see more of them in the future.
  18. I really enjoyed this story but then I am probably biased.
  19. I got a text message from Nigel Gordon telling me that I must read Clouds of Glory, that was last week and I only got round to doing so today. Must say I'm glad that Nigel sent me the text. This is by far one of the best stories I have read in a long time. Just wish more readers could get a chance to read gay fiction of this quality rather than presuming that gay internet fiction is up to the standard of Nifty.
  20. I have an advantage that I have read some of Nigel's none gay themed writing, he does have a tendency to grab hold of issues and twist them in ways that often leave you wondering and sometimes wishing he had never brought the subject in question up. If you ever get a chance read his short story Child Care. One reason why I think this story had a bite to it is that it is based on true events. I was able to identify Mike and Steve and hope that one day Nigel will get round to writing the other side of the story and the eventual outcome.
  21. Anybody who has not listened to any of these stories is missing a real treat, they give one an insight into area of LGBT life that is not often talked about. A site well worth going to.
