I loved it!All hail Des!

I'm amazed that you're actually paying to be a student teacher. In the UK you get paid to train as no one wants to teach.Techno sucks. Unlike punk which is just ... erm, punk.

Hoosegow - what a wonderful word! :)

Three minutes?! They're totally bereft of any kind of artistic soul. You should have a 'read in.' Get on the stage and start 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' and don't stop until you finished it - no matter what type of polite coughing, or watch tapping, starts up.And - and this is key to getting some tabloid coverage for the cause - read it in the buff.3 minutes?! Pah!!!Camy - who would come and participate if he could fly.
-
Bad, bad Des! Lord, you have to love the man!
-
All art is both the most fantastical, wonderful thing AND the most infuriating and annoying. A sort of bi-polar pastime, really. ;)
-
Hmm. Thanks, both of you. For your information GRS is definitely, most definitely, not on the cards. Gawd forbid!
-
No, it isn't. It's a damnably infuriating pastime. Stamp collecting! Now there's a real hobby. Or crochet, or decoupage. Writing ... nah.Reading's okay, and I can't wait for your new offering!Isn't writing fun? -
Ooops, how remiss of me. I must have been somewhere else when you joined. Anyway, I'm glad you did join and I look forward to reading some of your stuff.Cheers,Camy

I love that movie!Rocky Horror Picture Show -
Thanks, it's good to be connected again.erm ... what's RHPS? Royal Highland Penis Search? ( - I've found one!)

I'll be 'back on' on the 13th. Meanwhile I'm having to ponce off friend's wireless networks and suffer the slings and arrows of internet withdrawal *shudder*
-
Thanks, mate. I'm drinking a home made honey and lemon with a couple of aspirin on the side. Sadly, the delivery method is by mug, not by bf. :(Get well soon, mate! A hot toddy delivered by a hot body, I'm told, works wonders -
Fabulous, Des!With Bryce and Eran you've created a classic pair of characters - a bit like Jeeves and Wooster. And, you have a great way of writing gentle, witty dialogue that is just scrummy. Hats off to youCamy

To the victors go the spoils, which include the right to write history. There is no ultimate truth, no black and white. Just myriad shades of grey. Thus spake the wise old Owl Emu.

Ha! A heads up!? I don't think we could afford the fuel to get a fishing boat over the pond, let alone the munitions for a serious go at re-taking the colony. I'll have a chat with Gordon and see what he has to say.All the best with the teaching assignment thing. Don't subvert the youth too much!

What is this NaNoWriMo of which you speak? Does it involve Tits carrying coconuts across oceans vast and deep? Because if it does I can tell thee that Tits don't cut it. You need at least a matched pair of sterling Starlings, or preferably, a thoroughly spoilt Albatross.Hmm, obviously I've overcooked myself with the blue-light treatment. Baaaaaa! Hugs back atcha, BruinCamy

oh, thanks for that, Bruin.

Honestly, I can't see any pleasure in stuffing a spiny cactus up one's bum. :icon_rabbit:Oh ... OH! The blogs have been fixed!!!!! Thanks, Blue!
-
Arr, tha' oi be.(similar to Bruin's, but two countys to the left)Do you be just gettin' on with it, yer daft bugger!(Bruin's attempt at writing dialect - not sure which dialect, but dialect!) -
Thanks Maddy! It warms the cockles of my heart to know someone cares. *sniff* *wipes tears away* *does silly dance*like this:You can do it, Camy! I know it! :D *pompom*Enough of that. Don't be frustrated. If you don't reach 50k words, you don't and that's that. It's nothing to be upset over. But if you do, then awesomesauce.Maddy (: -
Good on you. 10,000 ... hmm. Can I borrow a few?
-
Dearest Des!NaNoWriMo stands for 'The National Novel Writing Month.' It takes place during November each year and by the 30th you have to have written 50,000 words - or not. There isn't a prize except for a warm wuzzy feeling.www.nanowrimo.orgHave a go, 'tis BIG fun!!!I obviously haven't got a clue what you are talking about. What is this NaNoWriMo thing of which you speak? -
Bruin! Don't be so dashed coy! You know exactly what you're writing, and have done for waaaay longer than me. And! I have to give you props for using your noodle. Writing a sequel with fully fleshed out characters from last year is both makes masterful sense, and makes me want to read before you've even begun.I'd call you a tart if you weren't. Camy (a Bruin fan)
