Teens do not discuss HAVING SEX with their parents. Some teens might discuss sex in an abstract way with their parents. No teen EVER asks permission to have sex.

I think Mister Forum Moderator ought to split these many off-topic posts not related to the story into a separate thread and put them where they belong.

I was very vociferous about it. Kids do not ask their parents if it's okay to have sex. Kids are very awkward about it and most just do it. Very few discuss it with their parents. It's not normal (this is not a gay/straight thing but a TEEN thing).

Google Docs is really slow and has very limited features. I can't say anything nice about it except it looks pretty.

Pec, while your advice is sound it really depends how you write. I often write a scene that is short (or long) and when I'm in it, I have to finish. When I'm done I'm emotionally drained and I have to stop sometimes for quite awhile. The running total is so everyone can know how it's progressing. This is the first (and only) time I've ever bothered about word count. I am guessing based on what my projected story arc is that this will be around 100,000 words. I could be wrong: maybe it'll be 80 or 120. But at least everyone has a clue when it's going to be coming. When it's done it'll have a nice posting schedule: fast and furious.

Sadly, this means my chapters will be less consistent in length but, it's more important for them to break naturally. I can't wait for everyone to mean Flo: she cracks me up. I've also done some back-editing so the word counts have changed.

It's not the same. STB is a bunch of horny kids doing horny things in a room with a small group. Sexting involves sending photos sometimes. Those photos end up in places were thousands or more people see them. I much don't care either way, but do you really want to see your naked self online for many decades to come?

This was to be expected from a legal standpoint. It'll get returned to the people to get it re-placed on the ballots and then a re-vote. At least they let those married stay married.

I really hope it speeds up now. Chapter four was just brutal to write. I had to write around some complex issues and it was hard for me to write because of some other reasons. Maybe it'll be evident when you all see it one day. Thanks for your support.
