  1. It's clear that everyone that has posted their view feels that a boycott would be a mistake. A reader of my story had asked me this week if I would post a link at the bottom of each chapter to a site where they have started a petition and sign it. I read up on the situation in Russian and looked back at the views of the athletes of the last boycotted Olympics. After my research, I was already leaning towards not signing a petition or posting much of anything concerning it, with my story, After listening to more experienced voices, I believe my first reaction was correct.

I know that Putin is looking for a way to bring Russia back to what his perception is of the former USSR. I really don't know of a way to stop his drive to reestablish communism there, especially if the Russian people are going to allow it. The recent attempts by Russia and China to have closer military ties are troubling, in fact, threatening. But on the subject of this forum, unless the West as a whole cuts all ties, economic and social (I'm not suggesting we cut political ties), I don't see much of a change in direction by either Russia or China.

I thank everyone for sharing their thoughts. It has been most helpful. I will note, that although I have reached a conclusion, I remain open-minded and reserve the right to change my mind.

Good to hear :P I as well don't think we should boycott it for now at least,

  2. First of all, when your neighborhood has been victimized by several people of a certain race, seeing another member of that race in the middle of the night and assuming he's up to no good isn't "racial profiling", it's common sense. Second, regardless of what Zimmerman said or did to "provoke" Tryvon, it still ended with Zimmerman in the ground getting his face beat by a younger, stronger person. He was well within his right to fear for his life and defend himself. Just because you provoke soebody doesn't mean they suddenly have the right to beat you to death. Even if you attack them first. Which from what I've read about the trial I don't believe Zimmerman did. Zimmerman was legally allowed to carry his gun and to use it to defend himself. He did. He was charged with what was in my opinion BS charges in a trial that tried to be more about race that the supposed crime that was committed and he got off like he should have. Especially with that god awful case the prosecution had and the fact that the prosecutor falsified Zimmerman's arrest warrant, something she's under indictment for by the way. No matter which side of the story you believe, the case against Zimmerman was a total mess from day one. More about emotion and agendas than facts.

I understand where your coming form I began to read a bit last night and it's just hard to understand when some do something lesser and they get 20 years, is there more to the story like if the gun was illegal etc?

And Sadly near the beginning of this whole fiasco was that it turned into blacks and against whites and just finger pointing, and no dialogue, which unfortunately has happend

And I'd be interested to see what you all think of this guys article,

  3. I agree with Elecivil I don't own a gun or want to get a gun but I don't think we shouldn't ban guns, and im left, but mostly centered left. im surprised with wilde pigs etc, shot guns don't work well?

If I had lived in a rural area and had lots of bears around etc, I would probably take a safety course and learn how to shoot etc, and would probably own a shotgun.

  4. Hardly anyone gets offended by the word twink and it doesn't have to do with porn/sexual innuendo's at all. and some younger guys would hate it if they are no longer called a twink.

Twink is generally a guy around 18-25 think/to a little bit of a build and blonde/ or brown haired and looks young, which fits one direction.

  5. I truly hope we can work as a country and stop the bs, and quit calling each other idots, Im so sick of how the country is divided and how we work with each other. I said it before but years ago republicans and democrats went to dinner and parties etc, and they got along and yes they disagreed political but things worked as well. I would like to see that happen again. I have friends who I disagree political but we are still friends and I think it's said when people cannot do that. it used to be more people didn't care if their wife or husband had a opposing political view point, there is still some though, again just like to see it happen again.

I hope everyone has a good wednesday.

Tom Bridegroom was an American film and commercial actor,a photographer and MTV television host of MTV’s The X Effect in 2006-2007.He also appeared as himself on the Janice Dickerson Modeling Agency in 2006.
