  1. I love the ambiguity. It'd be tempting to respond to each interpretation by saying, "yeah, you're right. I'm exactly that guy you guessed. I'm so glad the subtlety of my design hasn't been wasted on you."Then when the whole farce of multiple identities collapses into recrimination and accusations of deceit, you present the grand reveal that you've come as Stone Cold Steve Austin affecting the guise of Brian Cranston's interpretation of Wee Hughie as a paranoiac-critical method homage to Anton LaVey.
  2. I'm relieved to see another post. I was about ready to fire off an email, metaphorically clutching a knife and fork and demanding 'where's my dinner?'But seriously, it sounds like you have your priorities worked out. The inspirational educator story describes a movie sub-genre. I've usually found the protagonists in such films more lame-ass than badass. Michelle Pfeiffer dished out Bob Dylan lyrics. You author your own. Those unlucky kids got lucky with you.I'm sure in the meantime Leviathan can weather a little more rust. So, if you're going to present at the film discussion as an educational super hero, does that mean you'll turn up wearing your underwear on the outside? Will that include your socks?
  3. "...splitting a pot of coffee with a local DJ." Hint of a love life? No, don't explain. I prefer the ambiguity. Please don't sweat the deadlines with apologies. Laika was such an improvement on Leaves And Lunatics that I'm sure this new work will be worth the wait.
  4. "May is one long, full-scale taunt of a month."So it's springtime for Hitler and Germany? This is a novel I'm very keen to read, even if down here in the southern hemisphere May falls in the fall. I'll see your May and raise you an October.EleCivil, I enjoy your writing immensely. It's muscular prose of erudition and insight tempered with wit and accessible style in the service of storytelling that quaffs deep from the well of human dignity.I'd best stop there lest the sycophancy rise to the level of uncontrollable gastric reflux.
