Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda stars Nick Robinson as Simon, Alexandra Shipp as Abby, and Colton Haynes as Kevin. It is directed by Greg Berlanti. If you haven't read the book by Becky Albertalli, do so (it's available on Amazon.com). It's a funny and serious tale about Simon, a sixteen-year-old more-or-less-tightly closeted gay. The "less" part of "tightly" is that he is a regular visitor to a chat room and begins an email exchange with someone he meets there. One of his emails is intercepted by another student who begins blackmailing him.

Ms. Albertalli is described on the book jacket as "...a clinical psychologist who has had the privilege of conducting therapy with dozens of smart, weird, irresistible teenagers."

According to IMDB, release of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is currently scheduled for March, 2018.
