I'm no poet, but it appears to me that could be developed a little further.  Just saying.  I catch the drift, and think there's more to say.

I've never really got haiku. However, after a lot of thought and cat stroking I think I'm there.

Love it.

Of course I may be well off the mark and dancing in my own universe.... Still, as art is in the eye of the beholder, I'm beholding.

I think the title 'In Year 69' is really part of the poem. Here's hoping I'm not (or don't have) dead wood when I'm in my 69th year.
