When I was younger, there was a woman in my church named Gayland Dick. She went by "Gay". No joke. When I first heard it, I did a double-take and looked around to see if the person who called her that was going to get in trouble for using such language in a church.

And I once had a boss named Richard Stiff (who ALWAYS goes by Richard).

Man, it would have been awesome if they would have gotten married, and then decided to hyphenate their last names. Gay Stiff-Dick would have had the best name ever.

I have to tell you, I actually met a guy named "Harry Woodcock".

I knew a kid in highschool named Dick who loved to walk down the halls humming a song he had writen that went, "Dick is not a bad name for it is short for Richard." It's was pretty catchy.
