The Raw and the Cooked by Lucy Kemnitzer is a different kind of story, you probably haven't read one like it before. It's set in the San Francisco area, where many, maybe most, people are fanatic about food and wine. It's a sophisticated gay love story. It's a story about seduction, about a person desiring another who isn't interested. It's a story about persistence. And it has a happy ending. It has 12 short chapters, and it's complete. I read it in one sitting, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended.
