Movie: Boy Culture

Has any one else seen this movie, Boy Culture.

I just watched it and wondered how others feel about it.

Not your usual gay movie (certainly not porn), but the guys are cute.

1st person narration reminds me of American Psycho, but there the similarity ends.

Interesting if unusual way to tell a gay love story, but does it work for you?

I don't want to post a review in case you haven't seen it, I'd like to hear what others think.

Believe it or not, I haven't been able to find ANY of the movies pointed out by people. Maybe in Vancouver, but nowhere closer. Very sad.

Little independent films like this are hard to catch, even in big cities like NY and LA. Chances are, they only get shown at smaller "art" venues, but they make their real impact (and profits) on home video.

TLA Video seems to carry more non-X-rated gay feature films than any company I've ever seen in North America:

They also finance and produce independent gay-themed films quite often, and have carved out a successful niche for themselves. I wish them luck and hope they can continue, because it's a much-needed resource.

That information should help people. We have a smaller population in Australia and seem to have a little easier access to the more popular titles. Each city here has known stores that handle the "alternative" movie videos. The distributors too are sympathetic to gay and lesbian titles. Our various gay festivals usually have a few screenings during the year of more popular titles at local art-house cinemas.

I saw the movie and really enjoyed it. I liked the story and the way it was presented.

I've seen Boy Culture and I have to say, I listened to my friends and thought the movie was just this grand thing to watch.. lol. Maybe if I hadn't heard what people thought about it, I would've liked the movie more. I honestly didn't like it, but I'm notoriously difficult to please when it comes to movies. I like characters, if I like the characters and how they're developed I tend to like the movie and can over look some bad acting
