"Enough Rope" by Joe Casey (at IOMFATS)

Some background:  I became curious about the story challenge that led to Cole Parker's "Learning the Ropes" . . . so I tracked it down on the IOMFATS site.  One of the other submissions to this same challenge was a 14-chapter novel entitled "Enough Rope," found here:  http://iomfats.org/storyshelf/hosted/joe-casey/enough-rope/01.html.  

Now, Cole's story was a fine story, but this one goes far deeper (as you would expect in 14 chapters).  It won the challenge, although Cole came in a very close second. 

Worth a look.
