The fact that this made the news upsets me. The fact I read it just before dinner upsets me. The fact that it's FOX doesn't surprise me in the least.

I know I wasn't supposed to tell anyone about TR's secret plans, but this was too good to be true, so please don't hate me for posting this. :)

Back when I worked in Surgery, the patient was asked several times their name and it was checked against the id bracelet they wore. They were also asked to verify the surgery they were scheduled for.

A buddy's father, who had worked in the OR for a number of years, needed to go for an operation on one shoulder. He used a grease pen to write on the OTHER shoulder, "Not this one, morons, the OTHER shoulder". He had the procedure done correctly.

When I had my knee surgeries, I used a sharpie on the good one* and wrote

"OTHER KNEE --->"

* now also bad but not yet surgered.
