Howard Stern had a field day playing this on his Sirius Radio show last week. No question, O'Reilly is a pompous windbag. How it couldn't be aware of the phrase "play us out" just shows how out of touch he is with pop culture.

It's long been Stern's opinion that O'Reilly is just an opportunist, a fake-conservative who puts on an act and deliberately acts controversial just to try to hype up his ratings. In other words, a low-rent Rush Limbaugh. (Not that Rush is much better.)
