Bruin, I have ordered the chocolate cake and whipped cream and some lovely Earl Grey Tea.

I am so looking forward to your story. :icon_rabbit:

Mmmm, lovely, Des. What's the whipped cream for? Or shouldn't I ask? I'm a big fan of Earl Grey, may I join you in a cup?

I join others in saying, "Yaaaahhhoooooo!"

As for bigger and longer, don't get upset, Bruin. Trab's always asking for that.

PS- I don't remember anything being dedicated to me before. Oh, wait, I think there was a spanking my father so dedicated a century ago, but this is probably going to be different. I'm probably going to LIKE this one.

I sure hope your're going to like it or I've wasted my time! And as I assured Trab, it IS bigger and longer. So if all goes well I've managed to satisfy both of you at one go. Which is a first for me...

Am I the only who is having some 'interesting' visions about this?

"There. I think that's just about where it was."

After reading Graeme's story, I'd have to say that there is very little ambiguity in it for me - it's clear that the kid was driven 'round the bend by the multiple rapes he suffered after the party. The use of an untrustworthy narrator is not easy to do, and Graeme pulls it off in his usual inimitable style. Well done!

cheers!

Thanks, aj!

I think a lot of how that story has been taken depends on the interest of the readers. Those who seem to like science fiction and fantasy appear more likely to accept the story at face value. I had one reader, after I asked him if he had considered the other possibility, commented that his ability to suspend disbelief was high enough that it hadn't crossed his mind.

As someone else has said to me, it also doesn't help that I have written two fantasy type short stories and they thought this was another in the same genre.

Now, back to Bruin's new short story.....

I see your point here...I think part of my perspective comes from having done a stint as a psyche nurse in a center for involuntary committment. The narrator shows many of the signs of acute PTSD - delusional thinking, paranoia, extreme denial to the point of repressing the traumatic incident, significant behavior changes, etc. He's just short of flashbacks, which would have been a dead giveaway and thankfully was not included.

Though I'm very interested in s-f, this one just didn't strike me that way.

Bruin's story: Also very fine work! I love the sense of innocence and debauchery that pervades the story. This was written with such obvious respect and care for the narrating character, it was very touching. Eroticism beats porn every time! Thanks for this story, Bruin, and I can't wait to see the next one!

cheers!

Hmm, innocence and debauchery - what an amazing comment! It's easy for me to have appropriate respect for the narrating character since this, like my other boarding school stories, is based on my own memories - the narrator is me. (thinks: have I betrayed how weird and screwed up I was as a child? Yup - probably! Am I any less screwed up now? Doubt it!)

Glad you liked it, Aj!
