I remember from years ago where Australian Football League (AFL) players were involved in an anti-homophobic campaign. However, I only ever saw those posters at gay sites (I saw one at a gay bookshop).

You also need to know that one of the past Australian rugby test players came out while he was still playing (though it was near the end of his rugby career): Ian Roberts. So, Australian rugby has probably had a bigger 'introduction' to gays than most of the other major sports here in Australia.
