This is one of the best stories I've read in a long time. All the elements are there; crime, punishment, enlightenment, friends. The meaning of living.

Read it, you won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this story. Maybe the end didn't fit in as well as it might have, but that's no biggie. I love the way Chris took responsibility for what he did, and how he developed a real friendship with Evan. And Mr. Grantham was a perfectly drawn character.

Thank you for taking the time to post all the nice comments, it's gratifying to see. And thanks to Luggie for coming over here to tell you about it (check's in the mail).

Just as some food for thought, the ending to me is a bit of a 'Lady or the Tiger' because different people will come away with a different impression of what the ending meant; which was part of the fun for me.
