Camy
Those Fifteen Minutes by Camy bleeding hearts and vinegar belie that cheery soul for those who've passed by long ago are happier on their roll and stones and hills and tumbling moss mean nothing to that rock who loved with burning passion but now weeps tears that mock desire of all is common touch to those who hide the truth for all their hopes and fears and years and shattered dreams of youth for what is left neath starry skies that ne'er seem to change a swift nick or a pop of pill to end a life deranged or sinking slowly down into the mire of endless days that last and stretch away for years as mind and body fades as health and dreams crumble to dust swept away by the young who seldom seem to realise they too might end up unsung --- In 1968 Andy Warhol said, "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for fifteen minutes". Nowadays it seems that everyone feels those fifteen minutes are their birthright. Quote Link to comment
Bruin Fisher
I read it, and read it again, and again... Each time I read it I find it more powerful, it punches me in the gut and then kicks me when I'm down. This is me in print and it hurts because it's true. I need a hug!! Brilliant writing as ever, Camy. Now I want to hear it set to music. Quote Link to comment

Merkin
Bummer. I was so looking forward to that fifteen minute flare. Camy, you have such a way with words, each one so apt and dead on target. James Quote Link to comment
