Cole Parker
James has done it again. His writing strikes with the force of a sledgehammer, and leaves you feeling the blow. Incredible, incredible writing. If you've not read The Place In Between yet, do so. Immediately. C Link to comment

Bruin Fisher
Pathos. Sometimes there seems to be a word that sums up a story and Pathos is the one that sticks in my mind regarding this beautiful jewel of a story. Bittersweet and redemptive, it tells the story of coping with, and then rising above, tragic and squalid circumstances, of yearning for, and then achieving, a sense of self-worth that transcends those circumstances. Quite wonderful and life-affirming. I've been looking forward for some time to reading this story and it was well worth the wait. Thank you James for writing it! Link to comment

It also speaks to people caring about people in a very profound way, about the dynamics of friendship, about elevating the human spirit by engaging in humanity. James is able to do this viscerally and persuasively like few others can. C Link to comment
