Dave Brubeck, one of the greats of 60's jazz, has passed away. I was exposed to his music at an early age as my dad was a big fan. I can remember struggling with 5/4 time in seventh grade when learning to play "Take Five."

I was sorry to read of Dave Brubeck's death. A great musician. I love his stuff. Take Five is perhaps his best known piece, deservedly famous because with it he did something nobody had ever done before - make a catchy foot-tapping tune with five beats to the bar. Classic.
