Josiah Jacobus-Parker
Tentative Meetings We sit stirring coffee And staring across our mugs. Breaths pass between us Thick with freshly crushed And boiled beans. We reach for our cups, Standing so close. Our hands brush With a lingering touch. You smile at me. I smile back, and look down, Hiding my blush-- the red of the crown. We sit a while and trade idle banter A smile plays at the corner of your mouth. It?s been an hour now And the coffee is cold. Our conversation grows old. I want to take your hand, Steal a kiss and depart -- Together. We rise, our eyes meet. Then we walk to the door. We say our goodbyes And then we depart. --Alone I walk home, Back to the dark. I should have taken the initiative, Should have stolen the kiss. But I couldn?t be sure It would end up like this... Guest rusticmonk86
Since EleCivil used my word, I am forced to use others. The poem was great. I especially like your way --of adding things. That really dictated the flow and, in my mind, kept it lulling. You gonna submit anything? --Gabe Quote Link to comment

Josiah, I think Gabe was speaking as Poetry Editor of AD when he asked about submitting... encouraging you to submit poems to the AD site proper for inclusioin in his Poetry Corner section of AwesomeDude. :) Quote Link to comment

Graeme
On the main site, down the left hand side, there is a section headed "Email Us". The Poetry editor (our esteemed Gabriel Duncan) has an email address there for you to use. Graeme :D Quote Link to comment
dude
I wouldn't expect an answer for a couple of days... though. When last seen, our esteemed poetry editor, a California Piaute, was aboard his trusted pinto pony in hot pursuit of a Quebec Mohawk across the US-Canadian border! woooooooooo hooooooo :D/ Quote Link to comment
