Rain, rain, go away

I haven't heard, and don't spend much time watching TV news. Have the rains abated in SW England? Is the water disappearing? Or is the land still awash?

I would not say they have stopped but the intensity has fallen off, we are not getting the Atlantic storms that were coming in one after another. The problem is that the even with the reduction in rainfall there is still a massive amount of water in the system. It is likely we will have raised water levels in the river system for at least two more months.

Thanks. Has the land begun to reappear where it was covered with water?

Maybe they could come up with a reverse Lend-Lease Act and send some out here to California.
