Nigel Gordon
I almost missed this as it has been listed directly in Newest Completed Novels and not appeared in the serialization section. I know there must be some good reason for this but WHY? I had a lot planned for the day, cutting the lawn, cleaning the car, potting on the Hollyhocks, now only the Hollyhocks have been potted on, the rest will have to wait, there is a new Mihangel to read. What more has to be said. This story continues on from Xenophilia Part 1 and it is in keeping with the great writing that Mihangel has produced time and time again. You can find it here, http://awesomedude.com/mihangel/xenophilia_part_2/index.htm If you have not read Xenophillia Part 1, do so it is a great piece of writing. Nigel Quote Link to comment
Lugnutz
I seen it there too. A little suprised but not shocked. This story continues from the first book. I'm halfway thru this but found nothing I couldn't sort out. Good story. Quote Link to comment
gwilym.pocock
Oh, you've got to be kidding me. The links on the index of this novel are broken. I guess I'll have to find an external source. Quote Link to comment
Mihangel
Just checked. Works fine for me. Quote Link to comment
gwilym.pocock
I am using chrome on android 4.1. I read the first few 'segments' on the other site it was hosted on. I guess I'll have to try again on my desktop to read it here. Quote Link to comment
Nick Deverill
Don't know about the browser or the platform but quite a bit of such troubles are due to the ISP (internet service provider) caching pages. BT (British Telecom) has been proved to do it in the past, but even when shown evidence - carried on denying it! Quote Link to comment

Nigel Nigel, the link in your post no longer works because we (read "I") renamed the story's folder. The amended link is http://awesomedude.com/mihangel/xenophilia-2/index.htm I am using chrome on android 4.1. I read the first few 'segments' on the other site it was hosted on. Would you mind trying the links again, please? If they still don't work could you let me know what type of device you're using (eg phone or tablet)? Quote Link to comment
gwilym.pocock
Still doesn't work. I'll have a look at the HTML, to try and see what is wrong. My phone is a Huawei Ascend Y300-0100. It runs a modified version of 4.1. My router is BT Home Hub 3.0 (I'm in the UK) Additionally, the link to part 2 on mmihangel's author page does not work. The link on newest complete novels list does. By not working, it is as if there is no link there. Quote Link to comment
gwilym.pocock
Looking at the HTML code, the issue is caused because of small screen size. Because the screen is small, the <div class="storynavbg storynav"> element covers up the links, making them unclickable. (Protip: you can use the "responsive design" tool in web developer tools in firefox to see what the page will display like on mobile devices.) Alien Son
By not working, it is as if there is no link there. Do you mean you don't see a link, or that you see it but it's not clickable (or tap-able)? Quote Link to comment

Related: http://forums.awesomedude.com/index.php?showtopic=8530#entry59096 I already have tools to show me this. They are limited, however, in that they only show what a page looks like - not whether it functions as intended. I think you made your posts before I made another change that has solved the problem. gwilym.pocock
The problem still persists. <div class="storynavbg storynav"> is still in the way. If I delete that element, then the links work. You can see the links, just nothing happens when you click them. Chrome also has such a tool. Quote Link to comment

What's that? :) Quote Link to comment
Camy
Chrome is what you have on car bumpers and door handles. Quote Link to comment
