Pedro
May I recommend this story by new author Joe. I enjoyed it I hope others do too. The tone and setting are nicely matched to the story he is trying to tell. Read it here: http://www.awesomedude.com/joe/eyes-of-darkly-blue/eyes-of-darkly-blue.htm Welcome Joe Link to comment
Chris James
Nicely done, Joe. A bit of history with which I am unfamiliar leads the way into some interesting moments of fantasy which I gather this author enjoys writing about. I imagine it will be hard to pin Joe down to the type of story he likes to write since he uses such a broad brush, and why not, it is entertaining. Thanks for the offering, Joe. Link to comment
Graeme
A wonderful story. A history lesson wrapped in an enticing tale Thank you, I thoroughly enjoyed that. Link to comment
ChrisR
What an utterly fascinatng story! As an aficionado of the Soviet era, I'd say its detail is breathtaking, and the 'itty bitty' liberty it takes with history is downright mind-blowing. The story could even form the anchor chapter in a Russian alternate history book akin to Turtledove's Guns of the South. Thanks ever so much. Link to comment
alandwight
A wonderful, thoughtful, imaginative story of a time unfamiliar to many readers. Joe has a triumph here as his first entry on AD. Link to comment
Jeff Ellis
Yes, a triumphant debut here indeed! I have been aware of Joe's fascination with the beauty of the young tsarevich Alexei, so I suspect that the inspiration for the story is one of wish-fulfillment. Very well done Joe and welcome.
