Chris James
So here I go to the short story list and I find this from Colin...a teaser no doubt for an upcoming story. I'm waiting!!! http://www.codeysworld.com/colinian/one-complicated-new-year/one-complicated-new-year.php Well hell, if major film studios can do it why not a teaser for a story from Colin. Rutabaga
Obviously more complicated than he bargained for. One can always re-read the earlier episodes in this series. R Link to comment
colinian
The story is now posted, correctly positioned in the New Year, at http://codeysworld.com/colinian/one-complicated-new-year/one-complicated-new-year.php. Sorry, a work emergency at a client (a very bad power surge from our friends at PG&E) and holiday involvements with relatives and friends slowed down this story. Colin Link to comment
Merkin
Aww, it was more fun to think that you'd finessed us into waiting for a true New Year's story, Colin.Obviously there's more to come. Get to it. Link to comment
Rutabaga
Sorry, a work emergency at a client (a very bad power surge from our friends at PG&E) When I had computer equipment in a shaky power environment I discovered that I had to use not only a bank of UPS boxes but also a line voltage stabilizer similar to this one: http://www.tripplite.com/line-conditioner-1800w-avr-system-automatic-voltage-regulator-power-conditioner-ac-surge-protector~LC1800/ It turned out that the voltage was swinging wildly during hot weather. This box (or versions of it) automatically adjusted the output voltage to be fairly normal even with wide input swings. Something to consider. Glad the story is up. R Link to comment
