Addym Kehris
If there is one thing I'm a sucker for, it's a teenage overachiever. Here is an article and TedX video about a 15 year old who has developed a 100% accurate test for the detection of early stage pancreatic, ovarian, and lung cancers...early enough that treatments can be undertaken to irradicate them. And most amazing of all, the boy is not some genius attending medical school. Go ahead, watch, and be amazed. The kid, Jack, is awesome. http://dailyhealthpost.com/jack-andraka-15-year-old-invents-pancreatic-cancer-test/ Link to comment
Cole Parker
As the disease is asymptomatic, whom do they propose to test with it? If it's a few cents a test, and checks blood levels of the protein, I'd guess they should check everyone who is giving blood for testing for anything. I wonder if they'll do that? Seems reasonable to me. Pancreatic cancer is really awful stuff. Not only does it kill you rapidly, it causes a lot of pain while doing it. C Link to comment
