Our registration system is supposed to send out an email to new registrants with a confirmation link to click in order to complete the registration process. Unfortunately, that step in the process is not working at present, and we can't figure out why. We must therefore ask you for one more favor.
After you have submitted the information on the registration form (and see a screen saying you should wait for our email), please immediately email us at dude@awesomedude.org and tell us the email address and user name you have submitted. We can then locate your registration in the list of pending registrations and approve you manually. Then you will get an email confirming your registration, and you will be able to participate in the forums.
We apologize for all of the hoops. Forums like this receive hundreds of bogus "spambot" registrations every week, and it is a challenge to try to pick out legitimate registrants from all the phony ones. Your assistance will speed up your registration massively.
One further note: If you previously tried to register but never heard back from us, please try again and send the follow-up email described above telling us who you are. We will go in and manually approve your registration right away.
