  1. The maintenance isn't much harder than adding links to the home page.

It may have missed your stories if they are saved like this:

    graeme/short-stories/story.htm

Edit: yes that is the case. It requires me to manually fix this by telling it that short-stories is a collection, not a novel. Should only take 5 minutes.

  2. You could do a sequel of Humanity finding out, and raging full out war. Or maybe a religious sect finds out and tries to assassinate demons, angels and druids. His father and Gabriel could of been captured by a religious sect. Gabriel died, but the father has information extracted.

It is up to you, though. You are the talented author.

  3. I sort of agree with you Cole, except I think that the extent to which they live in their own world depends on their age, and who they are. Some kids and teenagers are more reliable than others in thinking about consequences.

I was thinking that these the person who shot this video may be autistic, if they didn't realise the consequences beforehand. Then again, they may just be a child. Do you think special account should be taken into account if they are autistic? Does it actually matter? If you were the judge, what would you sentence them to?

I agree this has story potential. You could do it through the eyes of the investigator, or the parents, or a teacher. I think through the eyes of the filmer is best though, or someone who egged the filmer on to post the video.

  4. Very very nice. Every so often on this website I find a new story, and I can't believe I missed it before. It makes me wonder about other hidden stories on this website.

I wish there was an A-Z listing on this website.

One unanswered question though - what happened to Damien's father?

  5. The UK has 100 times less homicide than the US, taking popuation into account. This is mostly because of gun control. Only farmers and sportsmen have guns. Some of it is due to our smaller size so easier to police, but remember that the US has more police, so this is roughly cancelled out.

The 2nd ammendment was written in the 1800s (i think). In that time their firearms were basic pistols and rifles. If machine guns and assault rifles were there in that time, the 2nd amendment wouldn't have been added that way. They wouldn't have wanted the right to bear massacre weapons.

As for advantages to gay population, I'd rather not live in a country wherewhere guns are freely accessible. While one person with a gun in a country with no guns is an advantage, a person with a gun in a country of guns is not.

Remember, guns were invented to kill people. Cars were invented as a means of transportation.

  6. I don't see how it was needed. It didn't add anything to the story. It didn't progress it. They could have ended just before they had sex, and it would still be the same story.

Incest is the sexual activity between family members or close relatives. It doesn't matter if they can't produce children together. Would it be different if it was an aunt and nephew, or an uncle and niece? An argument that it would be different is that they could have children. But if they didn't do penetration, or they wore protection, or they are infertile then that argument is invalid. I find this almost as morally cringey as paedophilia.

  7. I hope that isn't in Celsius. I was on a 5 hour coach drive from my college to Cambridge university with 30 other teenagers, and it was 100f (37c). The air conditioning was broken and there were no windows. The smell was delightful.

  8. I don't think mobile are that big an issue as a cause for distraction. In my old school anyway. It was not worth playing on your phone in lesson because you are sure to be caught, your phone confiscated and given a detention.

It is usually pretty obvious that someone is on their phone.
