DesDownunder
I told you it was cold in Adelaide, but we hardly ever get snow. RESIDENTS in the Adelaide Hills have told the weather bureau that they had light snow falls this morning. Senior forecaster with the Bureau of Meteorology Matt Collopy said that "someone on Ridge Rd, Stirling phoned and told us that at 8am this morning they had period of 10-15 minutes when a couple of flakes of snow fell, melting as soon as it hit the ground. He said the temperature at Mt Lofty was 1C at 8am. "With the really cold air mass and the hail that we have had yesterday and today it is not unheard of to have light dustings of snow on the ridge which is about 600-700mts up." "Its one of those things, you would be a hero if you got it right, Mr Collopy said, six or so years ago they had a reasonable snow shower in the Adelaide Hills, its not unheard of but its unusual."
