The American Family Association doesn't act like a Christian organization, they act like a neo-Nazi hate group. They seem to be moving closer and closer to the tactics of the Westboro Baptist Church.

The AFA is classed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, however the AFA also tends to say that anyone that calls them a hate group is in fact the hate group. Freedom of religion means you can practice your faith without being persecuted, not that you get to make everyone else follow its laws - which is their goal. Not to mention that their views on their religion aren't shared by all who practice under the wide umbrella of 'Christianity' - in fact it seems that lots of folks call them selves that and then do whatever they please.
