Sadly, Mr. Jewel Akens, who had the classic 1965 #3 hit "The Birds and the Bees," just passed away about a week ago!

Ahh, the Pecman has caught the title of this thread perfectly. I saw the article about Jewel Akens passing and thought to myself that there are few of the great singers left from that period. That was back in the day when music was kind to the heart and the ears. Gone, gone, and all we are left with is rap crap which is less than musical. Where are my earplugs?

I think "Let Me Tell You About the Birds and the Bees" would be a terrific title for an adolescent/teenage love story. That one was right up there with "Groovy Kind of Love" for me, also from around the same time (actually a year later, 1966).
