"Corrective rape"

Sometimes I despair of humankind. A disturbing article in today's NYT regarding "corrective rape" in South Africa.

Doesn't this just make you sick? There is no excuse for rape, all it takes is a sick mind to put forth an excuse like this. It took centuries for African blacks to be seen as anything civilized and here they are casting doubt on that assessment.

No doubt the Scott Lively crowd is standing on the edge of the crowd cheering. Confidence in Christian thought and teaching is also in doubt. Where is the voice of reason in South Africa defending human rights. Nelson Mandela is leaving behind a tainted legacy among his people. He may be too old to influence the criminals who think with their cocks, but where is the justice in any of this?

Black on black violence, one straight and one gay. Who cares, right? Sounds like America.
