Chris James
With the Olympics pending, the gay news sources in the EU and the US have been up in arms about the possibility of athletes and attendees being arrested for gay freedom of expression. We see little enough from the Russian viewpoint, especially those in Sochi. Most large cities around the world have some kind of gay venue (unless, of course, the death penalty is part of the national policy) and Sochi is no different. The bar scene, the drag shows...this could be any town, but it is Sochi. It remains to be seen if the Russian authorities will attempt to suppress what is already in place: http://news.yahoo.com/amid-putins-crackdown-sochi-gay-scene-thrives-070313024.html Quote Link to comment
