Graeme
I've stumbled across this interesting story over at Gay Authors: 32 Faces It's only the second story I've ever read where the narrator is autistic, the other being The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. There's a lot of similarities between the protagonists in the two stories, especialy in their skill with mathematics, but the stories are otherwise very different. I'll admit that one of the endearing things in The Curious Incident was the narrator's decision to not number the chapters sequentially, but rather by using the Fibonacci sequence (meaning that there were two chapter 1's). However, I'm getting off track... 32 Faces takes its title from the number of different facial expressions the narrator recognises in his brother. I'm currently up to chapter 7, and it's completely taken my interest away from working on my own novel. I know I'm not going to get any writing done until I finish it.... Quote Link to comment
