Just caught this on a local news site:

They're showcasing 51 somewhat-famous gay people, some known better than others. I was surprised to find out about NBC commentator Pete Williams, which I guess happened awhile back.

Just shows there's people from all walks of life that share more with us than we suspected.

Sadly, for every one we know about, I bet there's ten we don't.

I was surprised to find out about NBC commentator Pete Williams, which I guess happened awhile back.

I remember Pete Williams. He used to be a Pentagon spokesman and was forced out when he was outted (can't have a spokesperson for the military being 'gay').

I forgot when I first noticed him back on TV.

A casual acquaintance of mine at work once asked me, "so, are you married?" I answered, "not exactly... I've been in a long-term relationship for 26 years."

He looked puzzled, then said, "oh... are you, uh, gay?"

I laughed and said, "no, but my longtime partner is."
