TracyMN
I recently bought an ebook from somewhere other than Amazon, and was asked to choose from a short list of formats, all of which I found were acceptable for Kindle. My question is whether, for my purposes, one is preferable over another. I just want to read what I want, with the option to read it on my Kindle. <g> The usual thanks, Tracy Link to comment
colinian
The usual format for non-Amazon ebooks for the Kindle is mobi. The Amazon formats for Kindle ebooks are prc or azw. But I'd stick with mobi. In Windows Kindle content is stored in Documents/My Kindle Content. If you want to convert formats, download the free Calibre program at http://www.calibre-ebook.com/.
