Dabeagle's 'House of Frost' has just concluded with chapter 14.
'House of Frost' is in the same fantasy vein as 'Wayward Son' and has a 4.5 out of 5 beak rating. As you can probably tell, this emu loved it!
Have at it here: House of Frost

I loved it!

My first experience with a hut tub in the winter time was in Pennsylvania, mid January, about four feet of snow on the ground. My "friend" and I would get hammered at the bar with our friends before rushing home and taking a soak. Always ended up with him sitting on the edge of the hot tub, a cigarette in one hand and my head in the other. I was always toasty warm in the water and he was always toasty warm in other ways! Good times.
Now I really, really want a hot tub... and a time machine.

Why do we always jump to conclusion instead of just communicating with the other person.
It's part of the human condition. If only we were all bonobos!

Terrific! And the ending was icing on the cake.

Like an aged sloth stuck up a tree, I am having a problem with the change of title. That said, it's a terrific tale - as are all the Peacher stories.

After attempting suicide fifteen year old Jeff is placed in a secure psychiatric facility for forty five days.
It sounds a grim premise for a novel, but it isn't. It's well written; funny, sad, affecting, and bound--sooner or later--to be turned into a film (a cross between 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' and 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest').
Read it, do!

The Singing Ringing Tree is a musical sculpture situated at Crown Point above the town of Burnley, Lancashire, United Kingdom. It is one of a series of "Panopticons" in the Lancashire Pennine Hills. It was created by artists Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu and completed in 2006. This video is primarily intended to give an impression of the sounds created by the wind interacting with the sculpture.

I guess we all want more.
Oh yeah!

Several things struck me.
1) Canadians are mad.
2) I want a hot tub!
3) Best line: I pulled out my phone and texted Ryan. “Something came up, I’ll call you a bit later.” -

When it first showed up on Netflix, I binge-watched it. Couldn't stop. So glad to hear a second season is coming!
Me too!

Cole's gone and done it again. Triffic! I'd like to see the movie.
-
8 episodes and already signed for a second season. 👍

Thanks for the public outing, Cole.

Camy, you are the king of simile.
Gosh, thank you, James. I'm often similistically inclined (mostly with a snifter of brandy to hand), and try to be the bestest similist I can possibly be!
Now, do I get a crown, or what?

Delightful! Like a frothy palate cleansing amuse-bouche before the grand-parents turn up demanding venison goulash and a barrel of rot-gut red.
Theophilus rocks!

I stumbled across this on Amazon. It's well worth watching!

Watch this if you can. It's wonderfully uplifting!
