Lugnutz
Thought there was a topic about this, but I can't find it. Well, here's mine. 3 Doors Down has been a favorite for the reason that their music is positive, it helps me on my outlook on things. They have a new one out called "It's not my time". Here are the lyrics and the youtube video of it. You'll have to watch it a couple times to get the plot of it, but it's great. "It's Not My Time" Looking back of the beginning of this And how life was Just you and me loving all of our friends Living life like an ocean But now the current slowly pulling me down It?s getting harder too breath It won?t be to long and I will be going under Can you save me from this? Cause it?s not my time I?m not going There?s a fear in me it?s not showing This could be the end of me And everything I know Oh but I won?t go I look ahead too all the plans that we made And the dreams that we had I?m in a world that try to take them away Oh but I?m taking them back Cause all of this time I? we been just too blind to understand What should matter to me My friends is laughing and it?s not what we have It?s what we be live in Cause it?s not my time I?m not going There?s a fear in me but it?s not showing This could be the end of me And everything I know But it?s not my time I?m not going There?s a will in me and now I know that This could be the end of me And everything I know Oh but I won?t go I won?t go There might be more than you believe (There might be more than you believe) There might be more than you can see But it?s not my time I?m not going There?s a fear in me it?s not showing This could be the end of me And everything I know But it?s not my time I?m not going There?s a will in me and now it?s gonna show This could be the end of me And everything I know Oh There might be more than you believe (There might be more than you believe) There might be more than you can see But I won?t go No I won?t go down Yeah 3 Doors Down video Link to comment
The Pecman
I was moved enough by Five for Fighting's 2004 hit "100 Years" to have put it in my new story, Pieces of Destiny. While I'm by and large a middle-aged guy who loves 1960s and 1970s music, I try to keep an ear to the radio every so often in case something good comes along. That song struck me as one of the best of the last few years. It helps to have a story where one of the characters is quite "musical" (ahem), which gives me the chance to sneak in a song every so often. I'm trying not to overdo it, and just do it for a few lines, but it helps. Another song that almost reduced me to tears was Billy Gilman's 2001 Country hit "Oklahoma," which I thought was amazingly good. I'm not even a country fan (by far), but this one was extraordinarily good. I'm amazed it wasn't a bigger hit, but that shows you how weird the music industry is these days. Link to comment
