colinian
There's an excellent article about James Durbin, a contestant on American Idol, who has Tourette Syndrome and Asperger's Syndrome. This article from the Contra Costa Times is a story about preteen kids and the impact Durbin has on them because they see there is someone else with what they have and he's been able to cope with it. There's also some good information explaining Tourette Syndrome, which is the focus of the article. I'm glad information about Tourette Syndrome is getting out to the general public. I'm adding this link to my story A Christmas Story, one of my stories on Codey's World (and GA and The Authors Haunt as well), so anyone who reads that story and wants to find out how it affects kids can read this article. The Pecman
The kid certainly goes through some goofy expressions, but he's a helluva singer and a terrific performer. I picked him very early on as the winner for this season. Man, he's good. Link to comment
