From the very beginning you want to just hug the protagonist and let him know that everything will be all right. Cole describes the fear and confusion of the protagonist with realism and vanquishes the antagonist with a satisfying "take that!", all the while showing that the world doesn't completely suck and that there really are good and decent people in the world, as he does in all his stories. A sweet story than tugged at my heart. Link to comment
