With Doug and Colin's anniversary coming up later this month, I couldn't help think of them when this came up on the news last night

Love is the glue that binds us. My parents are having their 72nd wedding anniversary in a few months. One of those war time marriages that was not supposed to last, but it sure did. Their secret: a board game after lunch everyday and cocktails at 4pm. What's not to like about that?

My partner Roddy and I passed 30 years not too long ago, and I'm amazed we haven't killed each other yet.

I doubt any two people can be together that long without getting on each others nerves. The people I've known who lasted that long have learned how to not let things bother them, how to disregard the annoyances and savor the good times.

I'm sure you and Roddy have learned how not to push each other's buttons, how to live together in harmony, and to let the little things go.
