Alistair Appleton's coming out advice

I've come across Alistair Appleton quite a bit - he presents gentle daytime reality TV series about finding people new homes, sometimes in another country. He has a pleasant presenting style (and he's very good-looking) and this afternoon on a whim I googled him and came across this:

It turns out the guy's quite a polymath. He's fluent in four languages, has worked as a journalist and translator for Deutche Welle in Germany, runs meditation courses all over the world, is currently studying psychotherapy and finds time to blog wise advice like the above.
