Paul Wren
I suppose one should start to expect the unexpected at the end of Nigel's stories but I must admit there was no way I expected the ending here. It left me feeling rather shocked and a bit uncomfortable - then that is probably what he intended. I am not sure if I like this story but it was certainly worth reading. Quote Link to comment
Chris James
With stories like Nigel's I am slowly gaining an appetite for the science fiction genre, not that I can eat too much of it at one time. Thanks, Nigel, I shall probably not appreciate my dinner as much this evening. Shock endings tend to do that. Quote Link to comment
Rutabaga
What they said above. Talk about having the rug pulled out from under what seemed like the obvious assumptions. R Quote Link to comment
Cynus
Nigel had me look over this story a couple of months ago. I loved it, and eagerly anticipated the reaction here.I'm glad to see that it had the same effect on others as it had on me. :) Quote Link to comment
Rutabaga
It does kind of give new meaning to the concept of decadence. R Quote Link to comment
Jeff Ellis
Oh, yes! Very cleverly done. After all the hi-level goings on being revealed in the UK... anything seems possible. Quote Link to comment
