Blithering idiot!

I adore Ywriter software. Or perhaps I should say I adore the concept of it, it's great, and it's getting better and better and easier to use the more I write. Anyway, to cut a potentially long and vitriolic self loathing diatribe short. YWriter has recently been updated to a beta of V5. Complete with warnings not to use it for real work! It's in beta, and beta is buggy: obviously.

So dick head here uses it to write a short story. It was a good short story, too (I thought while I still had it).

Grrrrr!!!!

Wail!!!!!

Hey ho. Back to V4, and a re-write.

What bugs me more, okay, maybe not, but anyway...Are those things where they say, "There is an update available, do you wish to upload and install?" You think, "sure", and click "yes". Off it goes, uploads, downloads, whatever, and installs, and THEN it tells you it is a Beta copy. By this time, the working copy is gone.

Camy:That's the saddest news I've heard all week, and it hasn't been a good week. You're stories are jewels, and to lose one is tragic. I just reread Bathtime today, and what a marvel that is, saying so much in so few words, leaving so much to us to fill in, yet the filling in is done for us by implication. I hope, hope, hope, you go through the effort to resurrect what you lost. When I've tried to do that I've never been as happy with what eventuates, but please take a stab at it. Your writing is luminous, and the thought of something being lost like that, well, I'm going to leave now and stew a bit.C

That's one of the nicest comments I think I've ever had!Anyway, stew not, Cole! YWriter (which I whole-heartedly recommend) saves all the scenes, and I've resurrected them - and saved them twice, thanks be to Wibby!'Dearly Beloved' is nearly cooked. I just need to get it edited.
