The powerful deserving power,

The strong deserving strength,

The well deserving health,

And the wealthy deserving wealth.

 

The powerless deserving servitude,

The weak deserving impotence,

The sick deserving blight,

And the poor deserving slight.

 

Were it not so,

What a problem God would be,

Strangling nature

While collecting fares.

'Strangling nature while collecting fares' is brilliant, bi.  We're all being forced to pay a grotesque amount to ride the God machine.

I'm left with an image of God as an Uber driver, pulling over then, as someone tries to get in the back seat, pulls out at his speed leaving them lying in the gutter.

As always, Bi-Janus is thought provoking. Probably why I imagine God and Trump as interchangeable.... I can see him as an Uber driver too.
