The Pecman Posted January 30, 2011 Report Share Posted January 30, 2011 The star of the film is 23-year-old Thomas Dekker, the teenage kid from the 2008-2009 Fox TV series Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles. The writer/director is Gregg Araki, who previously did Mysterious Skin, another teenage film with gay overtones. I agree with Merkin: the raggedy-beard thing doesn't work for me. I think a lot of kids at this age want to prove they can grow a beard, no matter how bad it looks. I'll say this: at least Dekker has less eye makeup in this one than he did in Terminator.
