I know what I can do and I do what I do very well:

until, that is, I first met you.

Strawberry blonde guy with sparkly green eyes,

a dimple, rosy lips and a smile that flies - lies!

You can't take me from my settled future, the wife and 2.4...

For that is not who I am.

Pshaw! True love is futile, and the dollar a prettier green, too.

Yet, now I stare at blank walls thinking of nothing but you

I know what I can do and I do it very well

now I have you by my side.
